How to Set Up Your R1 Photobooth

Step 1: Remove the Back Plate

  • Remove all screws around the back plate (10 total).
  • Set the back plate aside.

Step 2: Insert the iPad

  • Place the iPad onto the faceplate.
  • Ensure the charging port aligns with the cutout.
  • Press down firmly on all four sides to secure it.

Step 3: Connect the USB Hub

  • Flip the faceplate to the side to avoid damage.
  • Plug the USB-C cable into the iPad.

Step 4: Reattach the Back Plate

  • Align the screw holes with the standoffs.
  • Reinstall all screws to secure the back plate.

Step 5: Install the Camera

  • Ensure the camera is in manual mode.
  • Extend the lens into the shooting position.
  • Insert the camera into the bracket.
  • Route cables through designated areas.

Step 6: Connect Camera Cables

  • Insert the dummy battery and connect the power cable.
  • Plug in the micro USB (or USB-C for R100).
  • Slide in the hot shoe flash trigger.

Step 7: Power the Booth

  • Use either a 12V battery pack or power supply.
  • Ensure the battery is fully charged and turned on.

Step 8: Configure Camera Settings

  • Disable auto power-off.
  • Disable Wi-Fi to prevent connection issues.

Step 9: Set Up Photo Booth Software

  • Download and install the software (PhotoFlix/Booth.Events).
  • Ensure the camera is detected in the app.
  • Adjust ISO, shutter speed, and aperture for optimal lighting.

Final Checks
