Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Overview: Twilio is a paid service for sending SMS or text messages through Darkroom Booth. Ensure you register early due to potential delays.
2. Create a Twilio Account:
   • Go to twilio.com and sign up.
   • Set up two-step verification during registration.
3. Add Funds:
   • Go to the Billing section in Twilio.
   • Add a credit card and enable auto-recharge to avoid disruptions.
4. Purchase a Phone Number:
   • Navigate to “Explore Products” > “Phone Numbers” > “Manage” > “Buy a Number”.
   • Enter your area code, search, and choose a number.
   • Complete the purchase; this costs $1.15/month.
5. Connect Twilio to Darkroom Booth:
   • Copy your Twilio Account SID and Authorization Token from the Twilio Console.
   • Paste them into the Twilio Account section in Darkroom Booth settings.
   • Refresh and select your purchased phone number.
6. Test the Connection:
   • Enter your phone number and test sending an SMS.
   • Verify the image is received correctly.
7. Register for A2P Messaging:
   • Navigate to “Active Numbers” in Twilio and click “Initiate A2P Registration”.
   • Follow the prompts for your business type (e.g., Sole Proprietor).
   • Provide the requested details, agree to terms, and submit.
   • Wait for Twilio to review and approve your registration.
8. Additional Configuration:
   • Set up sample messages and user consent details as required during registration.
   • Ensure images and links are sent appropriately.
9. Complete and Verify:
   • Once registration is approved, test sending SMS through Darkroom Booth again.
   • Ensure everything is functioning properly before your event.
