Follow this guide if videos are not playing on your POSH column screen.

Issue Title: Videos Not Playing on POSH Column Screen
Symptoms
- In ata.local, the video folder does not appear in the video source list
- Pressing Start does not play any media
- An error appears when attempting to start the video player
Possible Causes
- Media files are not placed inside their own folder within the playlists folder on the USB flash drive
- The POSH column PC did not properly read the USB flash drive
- Videos are not located inside the playlists folder on the column screen computer
Step-by-Step Resolution
- Confirm correct folder structure on the USB drive
- Insert the USB flash drive into a computer.
- Open the USB drive and locate the playlists folder.
- Inside playlists, make sure your videos are placed inside their own dedicated folder (not loose files).
- Example structure:
USB Drive → playlists → MyVideoFolder → video files
- Reconnect the USB drive to the POSH column computer
- Safely eject the USB drive.
- Unplug the USB drive from the POSH column computer.
- Wait 5–10 seconds, then plug the USB drive back in.
- Open the media dashboard and refresh the video source list.
- Verify video file format compatibility
- For best results, convert all videos to .mp4 format.
- Other common video formats may work, but .mp4 is recommended for reliability.
- Avoid uncommon or high-compression codecs that may not be supported.
- Confirm videos are on the column screen computer
- Ensure the USB drive is being read by the POSH column PC.
- Confirm the videos are accessible and visible within the playlists directory.
- If needed, restart the column screen computer and check again.

- Keep folder and file names simple (no special characters).
- Use shorter video clips when testing to confirm playback.
- Always safely eject the USB drive before removing it from a computer.
