ATA Tips: Photobooth-friendly strobe + LED modeling
- Triggering: Use the built-in optical slave or the included sync lead to fire from your camera. For hot-shoe-only cameras, add a hot-shoe-to-PC adapter or a basic radio trigger (not included).
- Stand & modifiers: Mount on any standard 5/8″ (16mm) light stand. Works with umbrellas and the compatible softboxes listed below.
- LED modeling: Bright, low-heat LED (full on/off) is great for aiming and previewing; far longer life than quartz bulbs.
- Power: AC only (120V, 60Hz). For venues, bring a surge-protected power strip and sandbag the stand for stability.

FAQ
Does the ABRL160 support TTL or HSS?
Noโthis is a manual strobe with Full and 1/2 power settings. Use basic radio triggers or the optical slave if you need off-camera sync.
Can I use it with an iPad-only photobooth?
iPads donโt fire strobes directly. Youโll need a camera that can trigger the flash (via hot-shoe/PC-sync/radio) or use continuous LED lighting instead of a strobe.
Is the LED modeling light dimmable?
The modeling LED offers Full On or Off modes (no stepless dimming).
What plug and power does it use?
Built-in AC cable with USA Type-A/B plug. Input: 120 VAC, 60 Hz.
Does it include a carrying case?
No storage case is included. Add a padded case if you travel frequently.
